When did you start your pole journey with classes at Pole Pressure?
End of December 2022!
Why did you decide to try pole classes at Pole Pressure?
Ever since I could remember, I always wanted to be a dancer. I wanted a strong body that could do amazing things and when I saw that Pole Pressure was just down the street, I knew that the Universe wanted me to start. So I did! It’s the perfect combination of creativity, sexiness and strength. I fell in love!
What do you love most about pole classes at Pole Pressure?
I love that Pole Pressure is a place where you can make mistakes. As someone who started from level 0 (no dance background or athleticism), that was super important to me! People around you want you ( and themselves) to get better, and I think that’s just so powerful.
What are some of your goals for this year?
I am 6 months away from completing my New Year’s resolution. Definitely going to smash that goal!
Two other goals I have are:
1. Try a Lyra class
2. Start intermediate
What motivates you to train?
Training makes me feel GOR-GINA. I feel gorgeous every time I finally land a new combination (and get it on video lol). There’s just something about going on spin pole, and letting yourself fly. It lights something in me and I feel better every single time, so why stop?
If you could train with any of your pole/aerial/fitness idols, who would it be and why?
Julia is an icon and she helped whip me into shape. Yes, THE Julia from Pole Pressure. She was my first teacher and she has seen me grow so much. I love taking her classes, she understands how to push people. She’s also really creative with her choreography and warm ups. It’s always a joy to go see her.
Why do you love Pole Pressure?
If you can’t already tell, I’m not just in love, I’m obsessed with Pole Pressure. I feel like I can let all my worries out the door and just release all the stress when I go to class. It’s always the highlight of my week.
