When did you start your pole JOURNEY with classes at Pole Pressure?
I started classes at Pole Pressure in August/September 2019. I moved to DC in June of 2019. I started my pole dance journey in March 2018 in Atlanta, GA. I grew up in dance, and my mom is a dance teacher. I also did competitive colorguard for about 8 years. I always loved gymnastics, but I never did anything like that. Pole was always my favorite piece in Cirque shows because the women and men were always so fierce and strong, but graceful at the same time.

Why did you decide to try pole dancing/classes at Pole Pressure?
It was the most highly rated studio in D.C. There were a variety of classes from flow to exotic to spin pole. My studio in Atlanta was all static pole and I wanted the opportunity to try spin pole.

What do you love most about pole dancing/classes at Pole Pressure?
The community of dancers, there's always a variety of experiences in the classes. The instructors were always really helpful, I am typically hard on myself and suffer from perfectionism, it was great to have helpful instructors. I like that you work hard, but you can't over exert yourself because that can lead to injury. I feel like pole really helps you with that balance.

Why do you love Pole Pressure?
The instructors and the variety of classes. Being able to try new things in a safe space. I like that I am taught by both men and women.

What are some of your goals for this year?
Getting my shoulder mounts consistent. Getting more brave with spin pole :)

If you could train with any of your pole/aerial/fitness idols, who would it be and why?
Holly Munsen from Pole Freaks because her online tutorials are my go-tos when I am not in class. Julia from PoleYourBody by Julia in Germany. She's someone that makes beautiful combos for not just advanced dancers as well as the beginner-intermediate students.

What motivates you to train?
Being able to be stronger in my body and my mind. Working myself to being able to put my own choreography together.
